CHECK OUT OUR ANNUAL
HAAC ANNUAL EVENTS
This is an Annual event where anyone can submit photos to share with the community! There will be awards for People's Choice, Best In Show, etc. Admission is free, but a "free will" donation is available along with live music, appetizers and a cash bar. Join us in celebrating the art of photography!
APRIL TBD from 1-3PM
This is an Art Exhibit featuring the art creations and drama performances of any Humboldt County senior student. This is a wonderful opportunity for the students to share their accomplishments with their peers, family, and the community. The HAAC generally hosts this show on a Sunday afternoon and invites the public. The show is free and refreshments are served.
Sumner Sip 'N Stroll
This popular event has grown into a delightful partnership between the HAAC and the merchants of Humboldt. The "stroll" begins at the Humboldt Art Center, where participants check in, receive an engraved wine glass and their "checklist" of participating businesses. There is a charge to participate.
Humboldt Arts Festival
June 20th, 2020, 9AM - 3PM
The major event of the HAAC year is the Art Festival, held the Saturday of Father's Day weekend. The Festival has been held on the lovely Humboldt County Historical Museum grounds for the past few years. The Festival includes artisans both indoors and out, free art activities for the young people, live music and entertainment for all ages, and a delicious food court. This event is free and open to the public.
Have a Heart for Art Benefit
The benefit is a fundraiser featuring art of all types which is available for purchase by anyone attending the benefit. This Monday evening event is held at the River Valley Orchards and Winery, 4 miles west of Humboldt. The evening features heavy hors douvres, live music, a fantastic s'mores "bar", and wine available for purchase. There is a fee to attend the benefit. The benefit is one of two main sources for funds for the HAAC, with the other main source being the annual memberships.
The HAAC takes the chance to celebrate art in the community by scheduling a month of classes and activities at the Humboldt Art Center. The 2016 special activity is a Photography Show, featuring photo work of both amatuers and professional photo artists.
